HEALTH LINK

Sheila Glover, our Health Link Worker,  works with GP practices and Health Centres to identify Carers within their practices, improve information and support for the Carers, and help to promote the Carers Centre. She helps raise awareness with all health care professionals of the possible effects to a person who takes on a caring role, the physical, emotional and financial effects caring can have.

Sheila also works with the local hospitals to formulate a ‘Discharge From Hospital Pack’ for any patient who has had a stroke, and works closely with the staff raising their awareness of the Carers Centre services and act as a referral agent for the Carers Centre so Carers or hospital staff can refer people.
